Timothy K Smith

Timothy K Smith introduces himself as a seasoned seventy-two-year-old veteran of the U.S. Army. His childhood dreams of serving his country led him to eight years of active duty, including three impactful tours in South Korea. The military wasn’t just a chapter in his life; it was a pivotal foundation that shaped his character and values.

His commitment to service didn’t end there. After exiting the Army to embrace civilian life alongside his wife and daughter, Timothy’s desire to contribute persisted. He became a volunteer fireman in his small North Carolina town of Bailey, dedicating two decades to protecting his community.

But Timothy’s journey doesn’t stop at military service and firefighting. His artistic inclination led him to embrace woodworking, cultivating his passion for craftsmanship. Starting from humble beginnings with small woodworking projects, he eventually transformed his dream into a reality—a 30’x40’ workshop fully equipped with tools that resonated with his heart and history.

Amidst all these endeavors, photography emerged as Timothy’s true passion. He shares his evolution from capturing simple snapshots with a Kodak Instamatic to mastering the art of photography with a Canon EOS t5i. His journey is not one of formal training, but rather a genuine love for the craft and a knack for uncovering hidden stories within his frames.
